What we offer:
Our group is always excited to welcome new faces! Whether you’re an experienced performer, a creative hand, or simply curious to try something new, we have a place for you in Coalville Drama Group. We welcome members with interests in:
- Acting on stage
- Designing and building sets
- Producing and directing plays
- Managing props and wardrobe
- Technical roles like sound and lighting
- Stage crew,
- Front of house & bar

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
We work, grow, and learn together, supporting each other in a team-driven environment. Each production involves countless tasks, each as essential as the next. Our members, ranging from beginners to seasoned thespians, contribute their talents on and off stage to bring each show to life.
Commitment: We put on four shows per year, each with a three-month turnaround. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday and Friday evening from 7:30 pm to around 10:00 pm.
On-Stage Opportunities: Plays often come with specific casting needs, so while some productions may have roles for many cast members, others may only require a few. We strive to rotate our members, giving everyone their chance on stage. While this may mean a wait for certain roles, every contribution matters, and every role is valued in making our productions successful.
Costs: All members, both on stage and off, are required to pay a small annual fee for membership. When participating in a play, you will also be provided with a script that you are asked to help pay for. The script is then yours to do with as you wish, you may keep it following the show, or you can donate it to the group and we will store it with the rest of our scripts. Additional cost may include the puyrchase of some items for costumes, however the majority of are provided and anything you may need that we ask you to provide is usually something you would already have at home.
