CDG in Association with The Coalville Adult School Hall.

Coalville Drama Group is proud to call the historic Adult School Hall our home, performing here since around 1950. The hall was built in 1906 by the Moss family as part of the wider Adult School Movement, which sought to bring education, self-improvement, and fellowship to working people at a time when access to learning was scarce. The Coalville hall became a hub not just for study, but for social and cultural activities, giving the community a place to gather, learn, and grow together. More than a century later, the hall continues to serve that same purpose, hosting events, music, and drama. By performing here, CDG is proud to carry forward the spirit of the Adult School Movement — enriching lives, strengthening community, and keeping local history alive on stage.
